along the rolling
potato hills of home
I wonder
what travels further
revelations
or apparitions.
on one hand
there is fiction
of wholesome
nurtured lives
within warm walls.
on the other hand
there is the
stagnant weight
that falls like
a curtain at
sunset
muffling
the insects’ roar.
